3rd Drawing Marathon DR / 3er Maratón de Dibujo RD

It was a beautiful morning on Sept 12th that in a matter of hours transformed itself into a long rainy day, but that did not stop us, the Urban Sketchers of Dominican Republic, from drawing! The best part is that we were not alone, around 15 kids show up for the marathon along with their chaperone Carmen and their art teacher Yuka. It was a fantastic day and like the local saying states: the rain did not stop our "party"! (Colonial Zone, Santo Domingo).

El 12 de septiembre era una hermosa mañana que en cuestión de horas se transformó en un largo y lluvioso día, pero eso no paró, a los Dibujantes Urbanos de República Dominicana, de seguir dibujando! Lo mejor es que no estábamos solos, se nos unieron unos 15 niños que llegaron con Carmen y Yuka, su profesora de arte. Fue un día fantástico y como dice un dicho local: la lluvia no paró nuestra "fiesta"! (Zona Colonial de Santo Domingo).

Carmen and the kids were really concentrated in their drawings. Wearing the green suit is Dani, a military of the National Guard who got inspired and decided to sat down and draw with us.
Carmen y los chicos estaban muy concentrados en sus dibujos. Dani, el chico vestido de verde, es un militar del Ejército Nacional que inspirado se sentó junto a nosotros a dibujar.

This lady was totally immersed in her religious experience. Inside of the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.
La señora estaba totalmente inmersa en su experiencia religiosa. Dentro de la Catedral de Santo Domingo.
